Bio

I am Susana josé (aka Susana Da Conceicao), I bring over 15years of experience in health & fitness disciplines.

I trained as a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Teacher and Aqua Teacher in my home town Johannesburg South Africa, where I worked as a Fitness Instructor & Group Exercise Teacher before moving to London.

Since my arrival in London I have worked for various health clubs including some of the most prestigious clubs. I held the roles of Duty Manager, Studio Manager, Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and Group Exercise Teacher, teaching: Aerobics, Aqua, Body Condition, Body Pump, Circuit, Spinning, Step, Stretch, Synergize and Swiss Ball.

I went on to do a one year comprehensive Pilates Matwork Teacher Training Course and subsequently did my Pre & Post Natal training, both courses accredited by The Pilates Foundation.

For several years I focused on developing my work as a Pilates Matwork & Pre Post Natal teacher.
I then went on to study with Polestar Pilates undertaking their Comprehensive Studio/Rehabilitation Course.

As a Pilates Foundation member and a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals, I am committed to continuously learning and growing as an instructor.

People entrust me with their bodies….it is with great humility and responsibility that I see my role as their trainer.

I currently run my own freelance business teaching groups & privates throughout London, my specialism being Pilates and Pre & Post Natal.

My philosophy is to educate and empower my clients with care, sincerity and humour.
I see my role as a catalyst that guides them on their journey to knowing their bodies, to making positive changes, for self-empowerment that leads to a healthier happier body ….a healthier happier person.

Pilates Beginners – Level 1

This plan is designed for those of you that:

– Are new to Pilates or currently have a low fitness level
– Would like to improve your general fitness and wellbeing
– Are interested in Pilates as a low impact form of exercise

The plan recommends suitable classes and also provides a nutrition plan for a balanced and healthy diet.
